Who Are We?
In 1992, the family ventured into new territory with the inauguration of an outlet, expanding their offerings and reach. Upon the passing of Bob, Johnny entered the fold, collaborating closely with Ken McGinnis. Through concerted effort and strategic vision, Johnny eventually acquired the outlet location, rebranding it as Johnny’s Flooring Outlet.
Ethan, the great grandson of Jack McGinnis, embodies the continuation of our familial dedication. Graduating from SFA with a steadfast resolve to immerse himself in the family business, Ethan became instrumental in the acquisition and transformation of the Carpet One location, seamlessly integrating our time-tested formula for success.
Today, Johnny’s Carpet One Home & Floor stands as a paragon of excellence in the realm of flooring solutions, offering a comprehensive array of services catering to both residential and commercial clientele. Our craftsmanship adorns numerous parade houses, distinguished by our specialization in bespoke tile work, encompassing showers and backsplashes.

Johnny Land
Born and raised in Longview. Graduated in 1987 from Longview High School and attended Kilgore college then the University of Texas in Tyler. At the age of 23 he began selling flooring at The Carpet Warehouse when it first opened in 1993. After 15 years, he bought the business and has expanded to what is now “The Largest Inventory in East Texas”. He is married with two children.
Salomon Aguilar
was born in Mexico. He came to America when he was 15 and began installing commercial floors. After 3 years he moved to Longview and started installing residential flooring. Working part time at The Carpet Warehouse, he was offered a full time position when Johnny took ownership. Salomon is married with two children.
Jeremy Spencer
Born and raised in Longview. He’s been in sales for over 15 years and spent the last few in flooring.
Joe Young
Johnny’s Flooring Outlet has been the recipient of both the Best of East Texas, and the Locals Love Us awards for flooring stores on numerous occasions.
